Industry observers note that these programs are being executed by international contractors alongside a growing base of regional drilling companies, all of whom are sourcing equipment and consumables with an eye toward long-term maintenance rather than one-off mobilization.

To support the growing installed base, CHINA KOMAL is strengthening its East African logistics network, maintaining buffer inventory of high-turnover items—shaker screens, fluid end parts, and common spares—at regional stocking points, with air-freight options for critical components when drilling schedules require it. The company reports that standard replacement items can be shipped from regional stock within days of order confirmation, with application support available remotely and on-site for rig-up, commissioning, and solids control optimization.

The company is also working with regional drilling contractors to build local maintenance capability, providing training on pump inspection, fluid end rebuild procedures, and screen selection practices. According to CHINA KOMAL, the goal is to make East African operators self-sufficient between major overhauls, with the company's regional team serving as a technical backstop rather than a dependency.
